Futuristic Council
It is the year 2063.
With the acts of the Islamic terrorist groups having taken the lives of close to 600 million and rendering 1 billion wounded, these groups have infiltrated and disrupted the security and order of our world. Radicalization and the subsequent induction of militant Muslims have prompted governments all over the world to embed micro-chips into the brains of all Muslims. The policy has been faced with heavy backlash, with Muslims asserting their right to privacy and freedom. Such racial discrimination against the Muslims have left them feeling ostracized and isolated. Human rights groups have backed up their claims and have expressed strong condemnation against the government's’ blatant disrespect for privacy. To make matters worse, it was leaked that the Singapore government was responsible for the idea regarding this technology and provision of funds, manpower and resources for the development of the complex system. The Singapore government and other religious groups argue that such a policy is necessary in response to the deteriorating security conditions and insist that such a move is underscored by concern for its citizens.
Delegates representing different racial and religious groups in Singapore will engage in debate about the nuances behind such a controversial policy as well as the ramifications it poses.
